But why then do they question nonlethal interrogation practices that do not cause any permanent harm? Are their sensibilities so delicate that they would prefer to chance another 9/11 rather than to authorize harsh questioning?
Any government official who would prefer to jeopardize innocent lives rather than permit harsh but non-injurious interrogation is unfit for office. The fact that Feinstein’s hearing is being accompanied by the release of the names of those involved further impairs the ability to keep Americans safe, and punishes those who are merely seeking to keep the U.S. secure.
