Goebbels, Triumphant

As American mass media and social platforms work to misinform the public, it is important to understand how important lies are to the success of the Left.

Socialist regimes of all types, whether they call themselves Communists as in the Soviet Union, National Socialists in Nazi Germany, or Venezuela’s’ Chavistas depend heavily on suppressing the truth and insisting that blatant lies be accepted by the general public.   Hitler, in his infamous Mein Kampf book, discussed the use of lies so vast that no one could “fathom the reality that they were not the truth.”  His propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels, said it best:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

In 2020 America, we are seeing the Big Lie hard at work in so many different ways, on many different fronts.  Consider these items that are accepted as fact, but are in reality sheer nonsense.

The allegation that America suffers from systemic racism is at the top of the list at the moment.  Yes, there are some evil individuals with hatred in their hearts, some act on that. But they are individuals.  To be “systemic,” laws, rules, and official procedures would have to be in place.  Since the end of segregation and other oppressive measures in the 1960’s, there has not been systemic racism.

The Democratic Party, which alleges the existence of systemic racism, is portrayed as the political grouping that helps Black Americans. Nothing could be further from the truth, and only the warping of both history and current events allows this fabrication to continue.  Historically, Democrats are the party that supported slavery and segregation.  Margaret Sanger, who is idolized by Democrats, began her campaign to spread the use of abortion because she believed too many black babies were being born.

The blood is also flowing in low cost tadalafil the muscles of the penis is also getting lot of blood.

Since the 1960’s, Democratic “poverty” programs have provided numerous jobs to political appointees, but have done next to nothing to truly undo the poverty that is the legacy of slavery and segregation.  When successful blacks, such as Justice Clarence Thomas, Dr. Ben Carson, or others point this out, the leftist media and Democratic leaders attack them with everything in their arsenal.

Two of the most currently powerful leftist groups, Antifa and Black Lives Matter, claim to be organizations that want greater democracy.  That is utterly false.  Both have engaged in extensive violence.  They oppose constitutional governance. Neither is in favor of free speech. They beat and batter those who dissent. They and their arrogant supporters use every device including physical threats and actions, economic pressure, and more to suppress those who do not surrender to them.  Their drive to “defund the police” and label their opponents as racist is clearly a way to eliminate any obstacle that stands in the way of their illicit push to gain power.  These actions are criminally seditious and should be treated as serious challenges to the continued existence of freedom in America.

Perhaps the greatest Big Lie comes from the supporters of socialism.  Nations that have adopted socialism have endured loss of freedom, loss of opportunity, and a diminished economy.  The USSR collapsed because of it. North Korea and Cuba are hellholes.  The Scandinavian countries are abandoning it. The people of Venezuela, who should be awash in wealth due to their nations’ natural resources, are impoverished because of it. Even the Communist giant, China, utilizes a limited form of capitalism to build its economy. But ignorant pundits, malicious college professors, and those seeking to diminish America are all for it.

Goebbels would be proud of his 21st Century heirs.

Who Will Pay for Democrat Ideas?

This article was submitted exclusively to the New York Analysis of Policy and Government by retired U.S. Army chaplain, Col. Don Zapsic.

Socialism on the surface seems innocuous enough, considering that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren want everyone to have “free” healthcare in the form of “Medicare for All.”

Who is going to pay for it?  As always, the ever-elusive, tax-avoidant, very wealthy (one-percenters) and corporate America are supposed to foot the bill. The economics don’t work, of course.  One could wholly confiscate the wealth of that group and the funds would remain insufficient. There is no doubt the middle class would assume a massive tax burden.

To remain vigilant in the face of seasoned operators like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, it is important to remember that their brand of socialism does not have to be economically sound. It simply needs to be psychologically viable. Sanders, Warren, and even Joe Biden fundamentally understand how greed preys upon the heart and mind. This dark source of human motivation plants false beliefs that ultimately lead to predatory thinking and class warfare through identity politics. Nowhere is this more evident than in the area of entitlements. Everyone more or less believes that underfunded, or for that matter unfunded, entitlement programs need to be trimmed back or eliminated altogether.

Like socialist regimes from the old Soviet Union to today’s Venezuela, politicians promise free lunches without proper regard for who will provide them. This is the heart of socialism, which is beating hard in the American psyche.  Sanders, Warren, and the other Democrat presidential contenders are selling the same ideas that have failed everyplace they have been implemented.

The very subject of socialism resonates differently among various classes of Americans watching the national Democrat debates. There is for example the “stick it to the man” crowd that is driven by shadenfreude, a term derived from the German language meaning, “Pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune .” This is another way of saying, “If everyone does not prosper equally regardless of how hard they have worked and sacrificed, then at least everyone can be equally miserable so that no one feels left behind.” Then there are those who have the misfortune of being on the receiving Bluze capsules is the best answer to the problem of impotence from a person. discount on cialis This can devensec.com link viagra in add anxiety, stress and depression in your family guarantee that you will experience depression. They know all-too-well how liberal politics and policies play out in the real world. The middle-class intuitively know that they, inevitably, will pay an overwhelmingly disproportionate part of the socialist redistribution tab.

Socialism is a short-term pragmatic approach that diminishes private property rights. It always breaks down over the course of time due to the very shortages that it produces. And if not reined in, its most extreme form deteriorates into communism and the dictatorship that inevitably accompanies it.

The same can be said of democracies. If not properly safeguarded, they drift towards socialism via fraudulent wealth distribution and the confiscatory means used to attain it. Then there is the fair question of what contributions did the socialist debaters bring to the table? What have they produced besides a vicious cycle of wealth redistribution and class warfare? Not to be deterred, socialists such as Sanders and Warren fundamentally understand that they do not have to attain or appeal to higher virtues to curry political favor and power. They can simply divide and conquer by throwing a bone like nationalized healthcare into the midst of the pack while stepping back from the ensuing fray. Sanders attempted to justify his brand of politics when challenged as “democratic socialism” supported by popular vote instead of outright force by a dictator (Venezuela is only the latest example). The outcome, despite the means, is still the same.

What should America expect going forward from the Democrat presidential contenders who, either openly or subtly, embrace socialist policies?  Definitely do not get your hopes up about any meaningful dialogue regarding relevant social policies and societal trends that are tearing our country apart. Expect some punchlines supporting the war on the unborn under various “feel good” sounding slogans.  Also lower expectations about anything that addresses the rampant crime and mindless violence in our nation’s largest cities beyond blaming guns instead of those who use them unlawfully.

As far as social justice, tolerance is out and sensitivity is in. Culture reigns supreme and religious institutions are irrelevant if not in tune with the spirit of the times. Finally on the road to serfdom, look for more talk on government giveaways focusing on who plays, instead of who pays. The Democrat that emerges from the group of contenders will be the one that dances best to the party tune. There will be no celebration of new ideas. Rather, a contrived, risk-avoidant, boring event that will only rouse the party faithful with the same tired ideas that have universally failed and so deeply harmed every nation in which they have been attempted.

Descent into Socialism

This article was prepared exclusively for the New York Analysis of Policy and Government by Retired U.S. Army chaplain Don Zapsic.

All of the hoopla about the socialistic left-leaning politicians taking our country to new lows is essentially more of the same-ole-same ole. Whether epitomized in the rhetoric of old socialist lion Bernie Sanders, youthful firebrand Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or RINO (republican-in-name- only) collusion on the political right, the goals of both the Democrat and Republican parties have far too much in common. The scenery may be different along the way, but their destination is essentially the same when it comes to our nation’s downward spiral towards socialism. In all fairness, liberal democrats are much more open and transparent about their desire and intent to redistribute middle-class wealth to the lower socio-economic classes. If you doubt the assertions, look no further than the passage and funding of the “Affordable Healthcare Act” better known as “Obamacare.”

It is an indisputable fact that the Democratic Party lied, deceived, and stole affordable healthcare from millions of hard-working Americans since relegated to second-class citizenry. Meanwhile, the Republican Party overwhelmingly opposed the bill’s passage back in 2010 to no avail. Both parties acknowledged that the nation’s healthcare system was broken largely due to waste, fraud, and abuse. Each side knew that bi-partisan, gross mismanagement of resources created a crisis that demanded extreme measures to keep the nation’s healthcare system viable. Democrats stood up and took the hit while Republicans reaped a political windfall winning election-after-election tapping into public outrage. The story does not end there as it is one thing to oppose a bill and quite another to facilitate its viability. Republicans in Congress made sure that Obamacare implementation was funded every step along the way while repeatedly vowing to halt its progress on the next go-round or more specifically, once re-elected.

If you are quite convinced that America can only turn socialist if politicians like Senator Sanders or Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez rise to further prominence, consider that democrat passage and bi-partisan implementation of Obamacare arbitrarily shifted a large segment of the U.S. economy from private to public sector control. This is a hard reality to bear considering that republicans controlled all three branches of the federal government for two years after the election of Donald Trump (2017-2018) and still could not get the job done. Many blame a single Republican senator (John McCain) for defeating the “skinny repeal” of Obamacare even though precious little was offered in the way of a better plan of action. The simple reality is that there is not a better alternative to Obamacare because the nation’s healthcare system can only remain viable by fleecing the middle-class (socialism). If a better plan was in the offing long after the bill’s passage in March of 2010, one left-leaning U.S. Senator would not have been able to defeat the measure single-handedly in July At times like this, a stereotypical treatment technique will be of less levitra generic no prescription help and more dilemma for the patient. The Womenra also worked. “These best price for sildenafil pills have worked like a magic to create wonders in the bed. Now that you have gone through all the sources. generic viagra order http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/pembroke-welsh-corgi/ of 2017.

Economics 101 dictates that socialism is a natural and inevitable outcome of any capitalist-based republic that fails to properly manage its resources. Incompetence, irresponsibility, and outright plundering of the public treasury are just as toxic as the most outright, militant promotion of socialism. And how did this all take place? A large part of it can be attributed to bi-partisan approval of unfunded social programs that could only be supported by the reckless fiscal policy of printing a faith-based currency, backed by nothing, along with further taxation of the American people. Obamacare, simply put, was the largest tax increase on American taxpayers in U.S. history in the form of draconian insurance premium hikes, punishing deductible increases, along with an extra serving of less access to quality medical care.

Obamacare is more than a blueprint of how to fleece middle-class America. It is a symptom of a much bigger problem. While politicians such as Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez advocate fast-track socialism, the greater threat lies in taxation fueled by incompetence and promoted through deception. Whether a house is burned down or allowed to fall apart, the eventual result is the same. It is ultimately a question of how long it takes. The Democrat Party characteristically strikes a match and throws it into the house of liberty watching it burn. The Republican Party by-and-large watches America’s freedom-house crumble brick-by-brick, board-by-board. Impotent to react, articulate to describe. Abuse or neglect, pick your poison.

My portrayal of contemporary American politics may seem harsh considering that I am an ordained minister and a retired military chaplain of twenty-four years. Please note that I do not divorce spirituality from my political commentary. To me they are one-and-the-same. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If the middle-class does not prosper and is further restricted in their pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the poor will suffer. The goose that lays the golden egg is not the rich; it is the middle class. Contrary to popular belief, there are not enough rich to fleece considering America’s huge national debt. Therefore, the middle-class goose may eventually be killed for a few more eggs, but then everything breaks down coming to a screeching halt.

A capitalistic system can only thrive if its participants are able to adequately share in the fruits of their labor. Demanding production from hardworking Americans without adequate reward is tantamount to domestic slavery. Such a deplorable condition demands a response; a brand of social justice that indeed lifts the lot of the ever-shrinking middle class. Socialism, always based upon unjust redistribution of wealth, is not a legitimate response to the Obamacare-like oppression that middle-class, and previously middle-class America is still staggering from. The answer is also not to be found in the collective Republican Party even though, unlike the Democratic Party, it administers the anesthesia before the surgery but similarly offers no painkillers afterwards. Any form of freedom, including economic freedom, is contingent upon the individual, and not government. The truth, with or without government intervention, must once again set us free.

The Dangers of Reticence

Many in the media, who should know better, have been disturbingly reticent about the growing acceptability and advocacy of concepts which will eliminate the constitutional framework which has preserved American freedoms since the founding of the nation.  While singular bad ideas have been discussed and occasionally criticized, the totality of the approach many on the left have pursued has been ignored. Consider the list.

Democrat presidential contenders such as Beto O’Rourke, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Kristen Gillibrand and Kamala Harris have discussed “packing” the U.S. Supreme Court to ensure that Progressive outcomes win.  In an era when one branch of the judiciary, the Ninth Circuit, frequently issues rulings based on its political preferences rather than statutory or Constitutional law, this represents a combined, dangerous attack on the sanctity of the legal process.

Fearing an overbearing central government powerful enough to trample individual rights, the Constitution’s framers rendered presidential elections subject to an Electoral College which prevents a few large states from dominating Washington. Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Beto O’Rourke and Pete Buttigieg have discussed eliminating it.

The Founders also provided for a Senate where the states would be equally represented. The late Rep. John Dingle (D-Michigan) proposed abolishing that, too.

The Bill of Rights is under full-scale assault, with barely a whimper of protest to be heard in most news outlets.

In 2014, Tom Udall (D-New Mexico) and Charles Schumer (D-New York), proposed a measure that would limit free speech protections as they pertain to campaign donations. The proposed legislation gained 43 Senate supporters—all Democrats. At a Senate Rules Committee hearing in 2014, Schumer stated that “The First Amendment is sacred, but the First Amendment is not absolute.” The Republican minority was able to block the measure.

The Second Amendment is under constant attack.  In many Democrat-controlled jurisdictions such as New York City, it has, in practice, been wholly ignored.

Treating narcolepsy viagra price requires a combination of therapy and living with critical sexual problem. Not just does it works the same route as generico viagra on line, and can be taken as and when required. This product is made so appropriate and effective for levitra 40 mg http://www.devensec.com/bylaws/bylaws07.html man who is undergoing the influence of impotence.

The Tenth Amendment, which mandates that those powers not specifically granted to the federal government belong to the states or the people, has been virtually wiped out by an ever-growing federal presence in the daily lives of the American people.

The Obamacare mandates that private organizations cover procedures that are directly opposed to their belief principles were a direct attack on Freedom of Religion. That assault on faith is growing more brazen.  Senators Diane Feinstein, Kamala Harris, (Both D-California) and Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) have implied that Catholics may not be fit to serve as judges.

And, of course, there is the growing acceptance of anti-Semitism on the part of the left.

Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Beto O’Rourke, Kamala Harris and independent presidential contender Howard Schultz, announced that they will not attend this year’s AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) event, which had traditionally been an important stop for presidential hopefuls seeking the support of Jewish voters. That’s just the icing on the cake. The growing tolerance of anti-Semitic leanings within the Democrat Party is highlighted by the rise to the position of Deputy DNC chair during 2017–2018 by Keith Ellison, (now the Attorney General of Minnesota) who travels within anti-Semitic circles. The harsh statements about Jews of several newly-elected Democrat members of the House of Representatives continues that trend.

Any of these individual enumerated attacks on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights would be worrisome.  Taken as a whole they are a cause for the deepest concern, particularly since they have received high-profile backing.  Yet these consolidated attempts to radically alter the core substance of American government, which has produced more freedom for more people than anything humanity has ever attempted, have barely been given any attention.

That silence, particularly on the part of those in the media, elected office, and elsewhere has its own dire significance.  As Dietrich Bonhoeffer observed, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Freedom Slipping Away

There should be greater attention paid to the comments made by Washington’s growing number of hard-left politicians.

Socialism is increasingly seen as part of the American political environment. It is more than just an an economic philosophy. Because it involves the centralization of a key part of a nation’s life, the use of government power to enforce its tenets is a major necessity in achieving its strategies and goals.

In many ways, this runs directly contrary to the standard Constitutional  emphasis on individual rights. But that is not seen as an obstacle for those who view that bedrock document as open to loose interpretation.

The use of overbearing power to insure the compliance of those who would stand in the way of the activities of leftist governments rather quickly develops into an habitual practice. The old USSR, or today’s Venezuela, are two of the best known examples, and they are the rule, not the exception.

The 2018 midterm elections brought with it a new generation of pro-socIalist elected officials. They have not even officially taken office, and their philosophical proclivity to suppress dissent has already taken hold.

It is difficult to take many of Representative-elect OcasioCortez‘s comments on substantive issues seriously due to her rather shaky grasp of facts. But she is abundantly clear about her devotion to socialist policies, and her determination to execute a “fundamental transformation” (to borrow Obama’s phrase) of America.

True to form for socialists across the globe, Ms. OcasioCortez has little tolerance for oppostion.  Following an instagram post by Donald Trump Jr. criticizing her by pointing out the deficiencies of her political philosophy, she responded, not with a countervaling argument or even an ad hominem attack, but with a comment on the House’s ability to issue subponeas. The message was clear, and consistent with the history of socialism: dissent will be punished.

More than just an attack on individual opponents, the U.S. left is now focusing on essential components of the U.S. government that block  their goals.
Apart from this, you can get rid of infertility and vaginal buy viagra online downtownsault.org dryness. The clients have appreciated the value and significance of this wholesale viagra pills treatment modality.
Preventing the implementation of their radical concepts is the steadfastness of the U.S. governing structure. As a consequence, it has become a target.

The practice of basing legal decisions on law and precedent limits the ability of biased judges to push a socialist agenda.  As a result, the radical 9th Circuit has had its results frequently overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. That explains the extrordinary vehemence of the left’s opposition to G.O.P. president- nominated justices.

A more recent battleground has been added to the  “fundamental transformation” fight. Based on equal representation of each state, the U.S. Senate is a powerful check on the ability of left-wing  dominated jurisdictions to push their agenda on the rest of the nation.  That has led to rumblings about abolishing it. The latest assault comes from former Rep. John Dingle, (D-Michigan) who openly proposed just that in an Atlantic theatlantic.com  article:

“Abolish the Senate.  At a minimum, combine the two chambers into one…It will take a national movement, starting at the grassroots level, and will require massive organizing, strategic voting, and strong leadership over the course of a generation.  But it has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? ‘Abolish the Senate.'”

The attempts to reject the traditional impartiality of judges and  to abolish the Senate reveal a dramatic, even if obvious fact: socialism is wholly incompatible with the American form of government, and also with basic American culture and traditions. Socialists recognize that reality, but it does not appear that others do.

Indeed, even some of those who rather blithely claim to support socialism are unaware of its true nature, believing it to be just an enhanced form of liberalism.  That’s its greatest strength: the ability to hide its true nature from the masses.

The Subtle Rise of Authoritarians

The verbal and legal assaults on the current American presidency have a great deal in common with events occurring in the United Kingdom, including the government’s attempt to evade the mandate of the people to leave the European Union, and the jailing of Tommy Robinson for merely speaking the truth about the impact of Britain’s cultural surrender.

In both nations, establishment elitists, allied with the left and diametrically opposed to middle class interests, have rejected the results of democracy while continuing to give lip service to the practice.  The electorate in both nations, according to them, voted “the wrong way” and a course correction must be undertaken, despite constitutional and legal prohibitions against doing so.

Key issues in the two countries that have proven frustrating for socialists and elites are dealt with in ways that seek to mask the reality that the will of people is being ignored.  In the U.K., that includes interminable foot dragging on Brexit, and chilling free speech rights of individuals pointing out the harm done to British society by the European Union’s ill- conceived immigration policies. In the U.S., politically biased judges have sought to unlawfully revoke Presidential authority, while key intelligence agency leaders such as former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI director Robert Mueller do all they can to hamstring the White House with unsubstantiated allegations.  The refusal of the U.S. Justice Department to cooperate with Congressional investigators is the most open revolt against Constitutional government since the Civil War.

The issue, in both Britain and America, has moved far beyond the question of whether one approves of a particular elected official or policy.  It is now a question of whether the will of free peoples expressed at the ballot box is subject to a veto by elitist figures, left leaning media, and unresponsive bureaucrats.

This authoritarian joint turn by both globalist elites and the hard left was seen as necessary due to the growing general anger over the detrimental impact of their policies. Disturbingly, that detrimental impact may well have been intentional.

Kyle Smith, writing in the New York Post, observed: “ Inequality has risen. Jobs are going overseas. The more the stock market rises, the more the working class feels crushed by globalization. And all of this has occurred exactly as Democrats have engineered it…” Smith reports that Larry Summers, once one of President Obama’s leading economic advisers stated (and later denied saying) that “One of the reasons that inequality has probably gone up in our society is that people are being treated closer to the way that they’re supposed to be treated.”

The dramatic weakening of the middle class, which consistently occurs in socialist nations (the latest being Venezuela) is seen as an acceptable, indeed, even welcomed, by-product of the policies of the globalists.

All this occurs, not coincidentally, as socialist principles and perspectives have been promoted into the mainstream by activists and media supporters, as evidenced by primary victories for individuals such as New York City’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (who defeated powerful incumbent and presumed heir to Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Joe Crowley) and the popularity of Bernie Sanders. While the marriage of plutocrats such as George Soros and Tom Steyer to the socialist leanings of Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez may seem an odd one, the worldview of both have very much in common. Both socialists and elitist leaders share a belief that individuals lack the competence to administer their own lives. For different reasons, both have a distaste for national borders.

Socialism and elitistism are the currently fashionable excuse for authoritarian actions. Absolute monarchs, fascist dictatorships, and theocratic rulers all share the same top-down philosophy of governance.  Only the trappings and excuses are different.

Is Socialism the Future of the Democrat Party? Part 2

The Democratic Socialists of America, which now holds considerable influence over the Democrat Party, has been described as “a rapidly growing big-tent movement that has drawn in former communists and fired up millennials.”

The key question is why. Comparisons clearly demonstrating the inferiority of socialism are abundantly clear.  The U.S.S.R. vs. the USA.  During the Cold War, Western Europe vs. Eastern Europe. North Korea vs. South Korea.  Cuba and Venezuela vs. non-socialist new world neighbors (The Democrat Socialists of America organization  has called Latin America, with its dysfunctional governments in Cuba and Venezuela, a “political stronghold.”)

And it’s not just economics that have been disastrously bad in socialist nations.  Socialist nations inevitably become increasingly authoritarian.

Opponents  to Socialism, and its reliance on collectivism and the fore needed to enforce its diktats, note that it is “deeply, fundamentally wrong. Individuals are the units of humanity that live or die, think, and make choices. Each individual has a mind and must think for himself, if he is to understand. Individuals are not telepathically joined into a “collective consciousness…”

The growing popularity of socialism is to a significant extent a product of its appeal to young people, who for several generations now have been educated by teachers and professors who subscribe to the philosophy and have gone to great lengths to avoid informing their students of its financial failures and attacks on human rights.

Bloomberg review noted that according to Asher Kaplan, who organized a well-attended event debating the merits and problems of capitalism, “These days, among young people, socialism is both a political identity and a culture…Young Americans have soured on capitalism. In a Harvard University poll conducted last year, 51 percent of 18-to-29 year-olds in the U.S. said they opposed capitalism; only 42 percent expressed support. Among Americans of all ages, by contrast, a Gallup survey last year found that 60 percent held positive views of capitalism. A poll released last month found American millennials closely split on the question of what type of society they would prefer to live in: 44 percent picked a socialist country, 42 percent a capitalist one. The poll, conducted by YouGov and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, found that [only] 59 percent of Americans across all age groups preferred to live under capitalism.”

Students will find few descriptions of socialism’s consistent, abundant, and deadly failures in their classrooms, or in popular publications.

The tradition of keeping quiet Ignoring erection problems ordine cialis on line or not getting any help can be stressful as well as frustrating both physically and mentally.
Writing for the Free Bacon, Elizabeth Harris notes that a book released last year, Communism for Kids, reports that the publication whitewashes a deadly ideology that has led to the deaths of 100 million people.  The tome, Harrington reports, “uses cartoon drawings of ‘lovable little revolutionaries’ arguing capitalism is evil and communism is ‘not that hard’… The book makes no mention of brutal dictators such as Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin in the Soviet Union, Mao Tse Tung’s ‘Great Leap Forward’ in China, Fidel Castro and Che Guevara in Cuba, all who are responsible for the deaths of millions…That collectivism ends in dictatorship is overwhelmingly evident,’ Smith said. ‘Take Venezuela, whose experiment in democratic socialism began in 1999. With each passing year, what was once one of the most prosperous countries in Latin America becomes poorer; what was once a free country becomes more and more repressive. Whether in Lenin’s Soviet Union or Maduro’s Venezuela 100 years later, collectivist policies must be coercively implemented and enforced.’”

Advocates for Socialism allege that their philosophy places power in the hands of the people.  In reality, it centralizes authority under the control of far less numbers than in capitalist societies, and those in control have the color of law and the blunt force of the state to repulse anyone who dares challenge their authority.  The Objectivism in Depth website argues that a more accurate definition of socialism would describe it as “A political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by government.”

As the New York Analysis of Policy and Government previously reported, “Politics as usual no longer exists for the left.  It is no longer a contest of ideas. It is an open battle for power, no holds barred. Common sense, the rule of law, and common decency has no place in their game plan. Constitutional restrictions are nowhere on their radar. The replacement of what had been liberal politics with the type of radicalism was seen in the 20th century in Russia, where the post-Czar government of Alexander Kerensky was shattered by Bolshevik Communists, and in interwar Germany, where a democratic government was replaced by Hitler’s National Socialist regime.”

Despite an international history of tyranny, mass murder and economic collapse, Socialists continue to gain political strength in America. Combined with a media that will rarely ever describe socialists as the extremists they truly are, socialists enjoy all the advantages a biased academic system and media provide, along with the results of their own intense activism.

The eventual costs to the nation will be enormous as a result.

Is Socialism the Future of the Democrat Party?

Is Socialism the future of the Democrat Party?

Democrat National Committee Chair Tom Perez has stated that candidates such as New York City socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are the future of his party. Ocasio-Cortrz defeated a powerful incumbent, Joe Crowley, who had been seen as a potential successor to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. (Perez himself is a radical left-wing ideologue.) In a Nebraska swing district, progressive neophyte Kara Eastman beat another established Democrat figure. In Maine, Maine Democrat Zak Ringelstein, also a socialist, is running for U.S. Senate. And of course, in the last Democrat primary season, Hillary Clinton, a fan herself of left-wing causes, resorted to dirty tricks to insure her victory over socialist Bernie Sanders.

Considering that the Democrat Party is now strongly influenced, indeed, some might argue led at least partially by socialists, it is remarkable that there has not been a national conversation about the implications of bringing socialism within American government. Dave Nammo, writing for the National Review  reports that “The American Culture and Faith Institute recently conducted a survey of adults 18 and older. It shows not only how deeply divided Americans are on some issues but also how their view of the nation stands in many cases in stark contrast to our nation’s founding principles…The…Institute recently conducted a survey of adults 18 and older…The most alarming result… was that four out of every ten adults say they prefer socialism to capitalism…”

In every inhabited continent, and in every type of nation, socialism has been tried, and produced little more than economic misery and failure.  Some might argue that some nations that have a degree of socialism, such as those in Europe, have not been plunged into bankruptcy.  But the reality is that their economies are facing significant downfalls in the near future, and the avoidance of disaster so far has been dependent on U.S. taxpayers buying their products in uneven trade schemes, and on American taxpayers paying for vital portions of their defense bills. Even China’s powerful economy would collapse without American consumers.

Despite that, socialism is growing in popularity in America.

As the Russian publication RT notes  “Since its heyday in the early 20th Century, socialism in the US struggled to win even a tiny following. Now candidates are openly calling themselves socialists and winning elections…Clearly, some kind of tectonic shift is underway in American politics, because Ocasio-Cortez is not the only socialist winning elections and ousting establishment Democrats. Four incumbent members of the state legislature in Pennsylvania, a state that narrowly voted for Trump in 2016, were defeated this year in primaries by insurgent candidates – all of them, like Osario-Cortez, members of Democratic Socialists of America, a little-known political group that has suddenly grown in membership from 6000 prior to 2016 to over 40,000 this year. Socialism as a political force has never had an easy time in the US…Now, in part because the Sanders campaign has made socialist ideas like national healthcare and free college education – once not on any Democratic candidate’s campaign agenda – suddenly acceptable topics for political discourse, his millions of enthusiastic youthful supporters from that campaign are openly considering socialism …One sign that this sudden popularity of socialist politics and ideas is not just a short-time phenomenon is that it’s showing up most among younger people, many of whom hadn’t shown much interest in politics before.  A Harvard University study published in April for example, found that 51 percent of those between the ages of 18-29 disliked capitalism, with a majority preferring socialism as a political system.  A year earlier, the conservative magazine National Review wrote with alarm that in the wake of the Sanders campaign, a poll by the conservative American Culture and Faith Institute had found 40 percent of Americans saying they favored socialism over capitalism.”

How America Disappears

The future survival of the United States, particularly as a Constitutional Republic, grows ever more tenuous each day. The threat comes from within. Now that attention is finally being paid to restore funds to America’s armed forces, the chances of a catastrophic military disaster have been commensurately reduced, but the internal threat metastases.

The United States is, first and foremost, an idea, perhaps even an ideal. The concept of individual rights, of authority that governs on behalf of, not over, each citizen was unique when the country was proclaimed in 1776. Unfortunately, it remains a rarity today as well.  Using a wide variety of excuses, many if not most governments around the world, some overtly and some hiding behind economic, religious, racial or ethnic justifications, ignore individual rights to either limited or significant degrees.

The danger to America rests in the tendency of far too great a proportion of our own political, media and intellectual leaders to buy into those excuses.  They seek to adapt discredited concepts, sharply altering the national character.  Barack Obama stated that he sought to “fundamentally transform” the nation, and in his extraconstitutional acts and ideas, it became evident how serious he was.

The voters rejected his ideas in 2016, but those advocating them are effectively continuing the battle.  They are winning the fight for the future.

Since the United States is a nation based on an idea, the most effective way to eliminate it in any recognizable form is to eliminate that idea.  That’s being accomplished diligently and relentlessly.  It’s being done, in its most insidious way, within our educational system.  History and civics are no longer taught objectively.  From grammar school straight through PH.D. programs, a curriculum heavily based on left-wing views and concepts is the norm.  Studies have indicated the nation’s young both lack adequate knowledge of American history and have been heavily influenced by the totalitarian ideals of Marxists.

Those seeking to examine the socialist concept that holds sway among their academic instructors will find little to guide them otherwise.  Social media and internet behemoths have established algorithms that weed out or obscure contrary perspectives. Entertainment venues are largely dominated by those with leftist perspectives. On a recent visit to an independent bookstore near Harvard, there were numerous hard-left works featured, but almost no centrist or conservative counterparts were visible even after a time-consuming search.

A recent survey found that the number of individuals claiming to be “extremely proud” to be American has dwindled to record lows.  It is a solid indication of how successful the information vacuum created by academia, the majority of news outlets, and Hollywood have been in their steadfast propaganda war against the nation’s central ideals.

Bernie Sanders, a reliable voice on the Left for many issues, is very loud tablet viagra in his protests about the role of speculators in raising the price of gas, hurting his mostly rural constituents.
All this occurs, ironically, as the examples of alternative visions of government from across the planet demonstrate how poorly they serve their populations.  The Soviet Union collapsed due to the inadequacy of its own economic system and its rejection of personnel freedom.  Venezuela, once a prosperous nation anticipating a bright future, has descended into chaos, poverty, and near despotism due to its socialist regimes. China, without American consumers, would not have become a powerhouse. Even the relatively prosperous nations of Europe (a prosperity based in part on the United States paying much of its defense bills and providing a major market for its goods) are facing a population that has grown angry about overbearing and overregulating bureaucrats that make a mockery of the democratic ideal.

That particular European problem is a rising tendency in the U.S. as well.  It can be seen in some career bureaucrats thumb their noses at Congress, in executive branch officials seeking to ignore the president to follow their own agendas, and when some judges, particularly those in the Ninth Circuit, base rulings not on the Constitution or established law but instead on their own partisan beliefs.

The U.S. has, for 240 years, provided more prosperity and more freedom than any other form of government ever established.  Like anything designed by humans, it has had significant imperfections, imperfections which it has vigorously worked to overcome.  No other form of rule, no other concept of authority, has been even remotely as successful.

That reality has been obscured, intentionally hidden, and lied about by those who simply can’t accept the concept of individual rights. They are doing an extraordinary job of killing the idea, the ideal, of America. If they succeed, the United States, as it has existed until now, will disappear.

Communism and Starvation in Early America

–A Guest article by Alex Bugaeff–

On June 12, 1987, at the Brandenburg Gate, President Reagan demanded that Mikhail Gorbachev “tear down this wall!” And, Reagan proceeded to disable the Soviet Union when he forced Soviet Communism to fall of its own weight. Few realize, however, that Reagan was beaten to the punch by our first colonial settlements some 380 years earlier.

After landing on a Virginia beach in 1607, the first Jamestown settlers made plans for organizing themselves for self-preservation. Among their plans was a communist system of production and distribution.

Each settler was to put his tools and whatever he produced (there were no women at first) into a central warehouse. Then, each was free to take from the warehouse whatever he needed to live. In went fruit, game, lumber, pelts, axes, saws, hammers, cloth, and out went…everything. Even their Powhatan Indian neighbors walked in and took things, once they discovered that they wouldn’t be stopped.

The settlers had chosen Thomas Studley to run the warehouse. He proved able to talk his way out of blame, but not prevent the outflow. And, he could do nothing about the settlers who stopped working once they learned that they didn’t have to. Then, the starving began.

It wasn’t until Studley died in 1608 (probably of malnutrition), that the settlement came to its senses. Capt. John Smith (yes, that Capt. John Smith) was appointed to replace him and what he found when he entered the warehouse shocked him. The supplies were gone, the tools had been traded by the indolent to the Powhatans for food and the warehouse was in total disarray. What was left had become infested with rats.

Capt. Smith wasted no time in setting things right. In the short run, he made rules for taking things from the warehouse and enforced them with armed guards, but he knew that that system alone would not last. After his election as Jamestown’s Governor, he did away with the communist system altogether.

Smith issued a proclamation: “…he that will not worke shall not eate (except by sicknesse he be disabled), for the labours of thirtie or fortie honest and industrious men shall not be consumed to maintaine an hundred and fiftie idle loyterers…There are now no more counsellors to protect you…”

It worked. Those who had not worked either started voluntarily or responded to necessity. In less than six months, twenty houses were built, a freshwater well was constructed and forty acres of fields were put under cultivation. The settlement no longer starved, as each settler fended for himself. In addition, they created a simple free market in which each bought and sold or bartered what he couldn’t or hadn’t provided for himself.

He levitra 40 mg pdxcommercial.com appeared in The Dirty Dozen, The Running Man, Original Gangstas, Mars Attacks, and a number of 1970s films that were part. The same thing happened in the Plymouth settlement, thirteen years later. Shortly after landing at Plymouth in 1620, the Pilgrims set up a storehouse of supplies in which all were to share. Although the supplies were meager in that first winter, each person was free to take from the storehouse at will. The food ran out within weeks and nearly half of the settlement died of sickness and starvation.

The following spring, the survivors were shown by Squanto, their Indian interpreter, how to plant and grow corn and how to fish and hunt game. In the words of their Governor, William Bradford, “All the summer there was no want;” as they “took good store, of which every family had their portion…Which made many afterwards write so largely of their plenty here to their friends in England…”

But, as the year before, it was not to last. By winter, the settlers had taken freely from the supplies until the storehouse was empty…and they starved for a second time.

In the spring of 1622, Governor Bradford returned to the village from a trip only to see a group of able-bodied young men playing a game in the square when they should have been working in the fields. He had seen enough. He chased them off and called for a meeting with the other leaders.

Their solution was to abandon communism and to make each family responsible for themselves. Again, in the Governor’s words, “…and so assigned to every family a parcel of land, …that they should set corn every man for his own particular…This had very good success, for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corn was planted.”

He concluded, “The experience … may well evince the vanity… that taking away of property and bringing in community into a commonwealth would make them happy and flourishing, as if they were wiser than God. For this community was found to breed much confusion and discontent and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort.”

It has been said that socialism or communism only works until the money runs out. Our earliest settlers proved that even that isn’t true. The productive people will resent the unproductive takers long before the money runs out. That resentment will build until their incentive to produce is weakened and production goes down, while the unearned taking runs amok. It happened in our earliest settlements, it happened to the Soviet Union and it happens every time such a scheme is resurrected.

Must every such scheme run until it falls of its own weight, or might we learn to reject it in the first place? Governor Bradford thought it was part of the human condition: “Let none object this is men’s corruption, and…seeing all men have this corruption in them, God in His wisdom saw another course fitter for them.” Let us take heed and follow the course fitter for us, before we, too, as a nation fall of our own weight.
