Recognizing Progressive Oppression

The recent attacks on journalists covering ANTIFA events, (and the refusal of local authorities to intervene) the persistent assaults on individuals wearing MAGA hats, the harassment and intimidation of students who are not leftists, the censoring of centrist and conservative posts on social media, and the ostracization within various industries of those who are not Progressives are clear evidence that many leftists in the United States share the dictatorial and violent traits of their brethren in Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and China.

It can no longer be said that these are isolated events by extremist members of the Left/Progressive movement.  They are the very essence of it. And verbal violence must be included, as well.  The manufactured charges drummed up against Trump in the aftermath of the 2016 election, the unsupported  allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, the false labelling as “racist” of every individual who merely disagrees with any left-wing position must be included.

The bridge of lawlessness was crossed during the Obama Administration, when whole portions of the federal government were hijacked for partisan political purposes. No punishment was ever delivered to Lois Lerner, who used the Internal Revenue Service to assault the Tea Party. Nothing happened to Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who used the justice Department to attack conservatives.

The Progressive Movement has moved beyond misusing government agencies and censoring social media.  It has ensnared the wider culture.  A massive percentage of “entertainment” TV programs convey left-wing propaganda.

Finally, some believe that cialis sale uk http://downtownsault.org/did8512.html will never work for a patient to experience. It helps cialis 60mg one defeat the problem of male impotence. Users have resulted to using alternative herbal supplements that are appropriate to your order cheap viagra individualized plan. School curriculum is politically influenced. Politics should be entirely kept out of education, but that is not happening.

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) conducted three consecutive national surveys which found that “the majority of our nation’s colleges and universities violate students’ and faculty members’ right to freedom of expression. Of the 364 institutions surveyed … approximately 270 of them—74 percent—maintain policies that clearly restrict speech that would otherwise be protected by the First Amendment. FIRE’s annual report is based on a comprehensive analysis of the policies restricting speech maintained by colleges and universities.

Campus Reform, an organization covering moves against the First Amendment in education, noted “It’s no secret that conservative students at campuses across the country face censorship, intolerance, and speech suppression… Reaction to the election of President Donald Trump only worsened the state of free speech…as radical leftist students have become emboldened to stop any form of speech that aligns with the policies of his administration–even if it involves breaking the law.”

Cabot Philips, writing for Campus Reform’s web site, noted “For too long…most Americans have been no better than…bystanders. Standing idly by while thugs and bullies posing as social justice warriors stifle the speech of the few with violence and intimidation. I’ve been on more than 100 college campuses in the past three years fighting for free speech, and I’ve seen those types of people all too often.”

Hopefully not too late, there has been a dawning realization of how far down the path of totalitarianism the Left has gone. The Washington Times reports that Senator Ted Cruz has called for a federal investigation against Portland, Oregon mayor Ted Wheeler, a Progressive who has allowed Antifa to violently assault people in his streets.

Project Veritas has exposed Google’s attempt to rig coverage of the 2020 election, in furtherance of that company’s leftist ideology. the organization has released an expose on Google including undercover video of a Senior Google Executive, leaked documents, and testimony from a Google insider revealing that corporation’s illicit attempt to affect the outcome of the 2020 elections to insure that a candidate who complies with their leftists beliefs wins. In principle, of course, Google has the right to support the candidate of their choice.  Doing so by censoring opinion on social media is not appropriate.  It is a 1984-type move to oppress those with differing views.

The true extent of the descent into violence and oppression by Progressives has been effectively downplayed by left-oriented social and news media. It will take a major awakening by the American public to recognize and react to this massive and growing crisis.

Politicians Advocating Violence

America’s politics, and its civil unity, are reaching a significant turning point beyond which rests the frightening prospect of violence.

It has become customary to describe the frequent disorders on city streets, government offices, and college campuses as the work of extremist organizations such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and related organizations.  But the reality is that these tactics have been, although not directly organized, then certainly encouraged or condoned by many established Democrat party leaders.

There is a very specific reason for that. The policies of the left had an eight-year trial run under the Obama Administration, and they failed miserably.  Absent factual reasons to encourage voters to support progressive candidates, the slanderous tactic of portraying centrist and conservative candidates as being terrible people who should be deprived of their right to free speech or to hold or run for office is substituted. Unfounded allegations of racism and sexism have been produced, without fear that a largely partisan press would expose the charges as baseless.

The alliance of some key Democrat leaders with violent extremists is not new.  Not much coverage was provided by the media about Obama’s closeness with figures who embraced violent tactics.  Joel Pollak, writing in Breitbart described Obama’s alliance with Bill Ayers, which continued even after Obama had been elected to represent Illinois in the U.S. Senate. Ayers was a leader of the “Weatherman” organization, which issued a “Declaration of War” against the United States, a document authored by Bernardine Dorn, who became Ayers wife.

The Weather Underground has described  William_Ayers  as “responsible for roughly 72 bombings in all, including the United States Capitol (March 1, 1971), The Pentagon (May 19, 1972), the United States Department of State (January 28, 1975)[4] and numerous other targets. In 1969, the Weather Underground planted a bomb at a statue dedicated to police casualties in the 1886 Haymarket Riot. The statue was blown into pieces, but was rebuilt in 1970. It was blown up again by the Weather Underground, five months later…In 1970, Ayers explained what the Weather Underground was all about: ‘Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at.’”

Other Democrat leaders continue the association with political violence.  Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Ca.) recently called for the harassment of White House officials, stating: ““If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Most men report that they greatly aid them in treating levitra generika premature ejaculation and in answering how do I last longer. They help in commander viagra beating stress, improve blood circulation, and keep diseases at bay. JFK was assassinated, the Beatles viagra prices in usa transformed music and fashion, the civil rights movement came to the fore, and the Vietnam war wrought escalating protest and social unrest. Cheap caverta 100mg is anticipated to enhance virility in men, cheapest viagra generic still poses greater challenges to the users. Portland’s Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler refused to intervene when disruptive left-wing protesters produced prolonged chaos in his city. As a result, his city’s police force has at times merely observed as leftist extremists blocked traffic, destroyed property, and assaulted people.

Tim Haines, writing in Real Clear Politics, noted that Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Hillary Clinton’s vice-presidential running mate said Democrats must fight back in “Congress, the courts, and in the streets.”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, following an attack on a Manhattan GOP headquarters and clashes between right and left wing groups, blamed the violence on “President Donald Trump and New York Republican Party.”

Karol Markowicz in a New York Post article,  believes that universities contribute to the permissive, even encouraging attitude towards violence with their “safe spaces” “ concepts. She explains: “In covering the early days of ‘safe spaces, ‘Conor Friedersdorf wrote for The Atlantic about student protesters who didn’t want a reporter filming them: ‘At various points, they intimidate him. Ultimately, they physically push him. But all the while, they are operating on the premise, or carrying on the pretense, that he is making them unsafe. It is as if they’ve weaponized the concept of ‘safe spaces.’ ”

Must of the most recent harshness of our political relations can be traced back to Hillary Clinton herself.  During a primary debate, she was asked whom she considered “the enemy.”  She could have named terrorism, poverty, Russia, China, or any number of problems.  She chose instead to simply say, “Republicans.”  She recently added, “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about.”

Media Decries “Right wing” Violence, But Ignores Antifa Violence

This article was written by the distinguished retired judge, John H. Wilson

The violence perpetrated by members of the ironically named Antifa, short for “anti-fascist,” is well known.  This loose-knit group of various anarchist and left wing organizations, was responsible for riots in Berkeley California, where violence has occurred on an almost regular basis since last year. l  This year, the center of protest has become Portland, Oregon where Antifa activists are blocking the streets, and harassing motorists.

Yet, when we read about Antifa, we often find sympathetic portrayals of their activities.  Time Magazine featured a story about Julia, who “helped found a group called Pastel Bloc, whose members wear disarming pinks in the streets as they provide water and support to other ‘antifascist’ activists who might be engaged in more disruptive actions.”  The author goes on to describe Pastel Bloc “as sort of a medic crew with fairy-dust slogans like ‘Resistance is Magic.’”     When the mugshots of Antifa protestors arrested for rioting were published by the Berkeley Police Department, Newsweek called it “a ‘disturbing’ move,” and quoted Veena Dubal, a law professor at the University of California, who likened the exposure to a “public shaming exercise,” that “could be risking the safety of protestors by sharing their identities on social media.”

Most news stories portray the activities of Antifa as simply counter protests to right wing groups, who are almost always described as “Nazis.”  This past August, for instance, a “Say No to Marxism” rally was described as “far-right,” while the counter protesting Antifa were described as a reaction to  Berkeley becoming “a target of the alt-right shortly after Trump’s 2016 election victory.”

In fact, the rise of Antifa can be traced to last year’s violent Black Lives Matter protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, and to the efforts made by the Berkeley College Republicans to bring a series of speakers to the campus.  In February of 2017, Milo Yiannopoulos cancelled his planned speech when riots broke out, however, in September of last year, Ben Shapiro spoke at Berkeley amidst the inevitable violence and protests by Antifa.

At first, the stories printed in the media regarding these speakers involved whether or not these speakers should be allowed to speak in the first place,  and whether or not they should be boycotted.   But soon, the emphasis was placed on Antifa being a justified reaction to violence on the right.  CNN’s Chris Cuomo this past August claimed Antifa activists are “on the side of right” because their actions are done “in the name of stamping out hate.”

Cuomo’s truly oblivious comments came in the wake of this year’s violent anniversary protest in Charlottesville, where protestors assaulted an NBC reporter and police officers.

This media game of “blame the victim” has now reached New York City.  Recently, the headquarters of the Metropolitan Republican Club were vandalized.  Windows were broken, Capital A’s in circles (a symbol for Anarchy) was spray painted on the doors, and a note left behind, promising this attack was “only the beginning.”    The note makes clear that this act of violence was a protest against the Club for daring to host Gavin McInnes, the founder of a group called the “Proud Boys.”

It has a negative impact over unica-web.com buy viagra on line the health of your pelvic floor. Founded in 2016, the Proud Boys feature a photo of General George Patton on their emblem, and state that they are “Western chauvinists who refuse to apologize for creating the modern world.”  They claim not to be Alt-right, but do long for the day when “girls were girls and men were men.”

They have drawn the inevitable designation as a “hate group” from the Southern Poverty Law Center,  who, it should be noted, has 210 listings under their section “Hatewatch” for groups labeled “Alt-right,” but NONE for any group identified as “Antifa” or “anti fascist.”

To date, the NYPD has not been able to identify the perpetrators of this crime.  However, now the focus has shifted from the damage done to the Metropolitan Republican Club, to the arrest of three men who allegedly assaulted a protestor during Mr. McInnes’ appearance at the Club, ignoring the fact that a group had appeared to protest the speaker’s appearance in the first place.

Knowing never to waste a crisis, NYC Public Advocate Tish James immediately decried the “hate fueled mob violence” of the “neo-fascist, white supremacist Proud Boys group” and called upon the Manhattan DA to pursue hate crime charges against the three, even though the NYPD states that it is “unclear” that the men arrested were members of the Proud Boys.

After the Charlottesville riots in 2017, President Trump made a statement regarding the violent clash between Antifa and the alt right that was roundly excoriated by the left, in which he stated “you had a group on one side that was bad. And you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that, but I’ll say it right now.”   The reaction then was immediate and strong, condemning the President’s remarks as making excuses for “Nazis.”

To date, violence between the far left and the far right, continues unabated.  Then it was Charlottesville; now it is Portland and New York City.  Antifa continue to use violence, while the media focus negative attention almost exclusively on those they call fascists and neo-Nazis.

Perhaps the President was correct in his original assessment – there’s bad on both sides.  But to ignore the behavior of the far left and emphasize the actions of the far right is a disservice.  It will only encourage these clashes to continue and grow.

Why the Left Has Become Violent

The upsurge in politically-related violence, both verbal and physical, since the election of 2016 is painfully obvious.

Frustration and embarrassment are the key reasons for the unwanted development. Over the past eight years, the results of the most hard-Left administration in U.S. history have provided the U.S. with a doubled national debt (and little to show for all that spending), a sharply reduced level of national security, a crumbling middle class, and racial relations worse than at any time since the end of segregation.

To make matters worse for Progressives, as they prefer to be called, the actions of their international heroes, including Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro, can no longer be hidden.  Maduro, who has received extensive praise from both Hollywood and Political leftists, including examples such as Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Naomi Campbell, Joseph Kennedy, is starving and oppressing his nation.

Much praise was heaped on the Obama Administration for opening up relations with Cuba. After fulfilling the leftists dream of renewed diplomatic and some economic contacts with the Communist Havana regime, however, the results have been bad.  The Russians are sending spy ships to the island nation, the Cuban people are as oppressed as ever, and those American diplomats sent to Havana have been subjected to brutal assaults. The Washington Times  describes the attack: “acoustic attack on U.S. and Canadian diplomats in Cuba is ‘unprecedented,” State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert said … after revelations that American employees have suffered severe health problems including mild brain injury and damage to the central nervous system believed to have come from exposure inaudible high-pitch sound.”

Despite the clearly terrible results of leftist support for Castro and Maduro, there has been little attempt to question American politicians and celebrities who were so obviously wrong in their support.

Left-leaning internet and social media giants continue to betray freedom-seeking people in China and Cuba by caving in to totalitarian demands for censorship.

President Obama’s “give peace a chance” foreign policy, which including the reduction of the Pentagon budget, a premature withdrawal from Iraq, an announced departure date from Afghanistan, and, overall, a pullback from American leadership in international affairs, produced awful results.  Russia and China have taken advantage of the change to dramatically expand their militaries, and invade neighbors.  ISIS grew to become the most powerful terrorist group in history, and the Taliban regained strength in Afghanistan.

Obamacare is collapsing under its own weight. The U.S. economy, weakened by the Great Recession which was the result of left wing policies forcing financial institutions to provide loans to those without credible means of repayment, was further damaged by continued progressive policies.

Have you been suffering from irritable bowel syndrome causes constipation symptoms but also alternates with diarrhea. generic sildenafil canada Psychological and Emotional Factors Job stress, performance anxiety, guilt feeling, female viagra for sale lack of sleep, marital or relationship issues are the major reasons of low erotic drive in men. The major role of this chemical ingredient is to terminate the very harmful cheapest viagra prices enzyme called PDE5 permanently. To get back to your normal life, vardenafil cost Kamagra can help you lead a better, happier life. The Democrat Party, now thoroughly controlled by the Left, lacks the willpower to move away from their extremism and failures.  They continue to cherish politicians like Rep Keith Ellison (D-Minn., vice chair of the DNC) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) who espouse failed radical positions, and reducing the application of the First Amendment.

National Review notes: “There is never a reckoning for the Left. An entire generation of American intellectuals found itself enraptured by the brutal, repressive, terroristic political apparatus of the Soviet Union — not only journalistic enablers like Walter Duranty of the Times and the various Hollywood reds and Communist party operatives, but the purportedly enlightened liberals at The New Republic, who were consistent apologists for Soviet brutality at home and abroad at the height of Joseph Stalin’s reign of terror. Scores of Americans, some of them in high government office, were working on behalf of one of history’s most murderous and repressive regimes — and the bad guys in that story are, in the popular imagination, the people who worked to expose that conspiracy, rather than the people who worked to advance it.”

The sympathetic media has largely ignored the abundant diplomatic, military, economic and social failures of the left. It doesn’t discuss Ellison’s antisemitism.  It doesn’t expose the bizarre statements of politicians who provide continual excuses for allowing illegal immigration to bust government budgets and ramp up violent crime.

The voters, however, have noticed. They have largely ousted the party of the left from the White House, and from the majority in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives. Republicans also control 68 state legislative bodies, while Democrats hold just 31.  The GOP now has 34 of the 50 state governorships, as well.

Rejected by the electorate, and with only negative results from their policies, the left has veered from politics and policies to violence and lies, in the streets, on college campuses, and in censorship tactics on the internet.

The promotion of racial animosity is among the unsavory tactics of desperation employed by the Left, an attempt to portray anyone disagreeing with them as racist. The libels and slanders recklessly levelled at their political opponents are now being fought in the courts.

There is some irony here.  The Democrat Party, now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Left, has been, historically, the party that promoted both slavery and segregation.  One of its foremost leaders was Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV), the longest serving member in Congress, who had been a member of the KKK. There has been little discussion of taking his statue down.

The media has extensively publicized isolated instances of non-leftist violence at contentious political events, but it has intentionally ignored the well-financed, organized, frequent and abundant acts of planned violence by left wing groups across the nation.

Repealing America’s Revolution, Part 2

The New York Analysis of Policy and Government concludes its two-part look at how the basic foundational concepts of the United States are being challenged as never before.

The most basic American right of free speech continues to be assaulted. In 2014, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) introduced legislation to limit the First Amendment. This year, Free speech continues to be attacked, reports the Washington Examiner  “A revived bid by a top Federal Election Commission Democrat could lead to an “inquisition” against conservative media outlets like the Drudge Report, InfoWars and Breitbart that take political advertising and are overseen by right-leaning owners or editors, according to critics.” The College Fix  reports that the dean’s office in Utah Valley University, a public institution, distributed a guidance letter to all faculty encouraging them to report to the school’s Behavior Assessment Team any students who use “inappropriate language,” are “argumentative,” or who speak “loudly”—a move widely interrupted to mean not those who protest from the Left, but only those who disagree with left-leaning professors.

The concept of respecting the results of free and fair elections is attacked daily. In the past, the nation transitioned from Democrat to Republican, liberal to conservative, without a hitch. Whether one likes or disdains Donald Trump, there is no disputing the reality that he was fairly elected.  Nevertheless, even before he took the oath of office, calls for his impeachment, and for ignoring the results of the 2016 election, were rampant. Further,  Zero Hedge disclosed that former CIA director John Brennan advised federal government officials to disobey President Trump under certain circumstances.

The basis of representational government, in which it is the voter that is the ultimate holder of power, is diminished by an unelected, unresponsive and arrogant bureaucracy. Increasingly, key decisions affecting the daily lives of Americans are being made not in the halls of Congress as intended by the Constitution but by unelected and relatively unknown bureaucratic bodies. According to the CATO institute, “In the 125 years since Congress created the first regulatory agency, the number of agencies and the scope and reach of the regulations they issue have increased dramatically. In 2014, there are over 70 federal regulatory agencies, employing over 300,000 people to write and implement regulation. Every year, they issue thousands of new regulations, which now occupy over 168,000 pages of regulatory code.” During the Obama Administration, powerful federal agencies such as the IRS and the FCC were used to engage in partisan political attacks against those who disagreed with the White House.

The very concept of citizenship itself is challenged by those on the left who, annoyed at the lack of support by the current population, fight to maintain “open borders” to allow in those unfamiliar or unsympathetic to America’s founding principles. Some municipalities are openly considering allowing immigrants—including illegals—to vote. The most recent example comes from Maryland, In August, reports Adam Edelman of Fox News “A D.C. suburb in Maryland began considering  a plan that would give undocumented immigrants the right to vote, making their city the largest in the Old Line State to do so. The city, which is home of the University of Maryland’s main campus and nearly 30,000 residents, is weighing approval of the new measure to let noncitizens cast ballots for mayor and City Council,” according to the The Baltimore Sun.

When the blood does not passes away in a sufficient manner the man faces problems while making love leading him to stress and other conditions. get viagra in canada http://respitecaresa.org/event/winter-break-camp/reindeer/ Civil discourse is replaced by violence and the threat of violence. Examples are worrisome.  In a scene eerily reminiscent of Nazi or KKK activities, Antifa’s “Black-clad anarchists …stormed into what had been a largely peaceful Berkeley protest against hate and attacked at least five people, including the leader of a politically conservative group who canceled an event a day earlier in San Francisco amid fears of violence” reported the Chicago Tribune. “The group of more than 100 hooded protesters… busted through police lines, avoiding security checks by officers. Separately, groups of hooded, black-clad protesters attacked at least four other men in or near the park, kicking and punching them.”

All of this threatens America’s very existence. Author Eric Metaxas asks, “If America was indeed a country created not because of ethnic or tribal boundaries but instead because people had come to believe—and therefore embody—a set of ideas, how could America be said to exist if…these ideas had essentially evaporated from our national consciousness…?” In the past, Metaxas notes, America “stood for something greater than itself,” and asks “when [the] nation has forgotten who it is at its core, has forgotten not just the important ideas that animated it in the first place but the heroes who brought those ideas to life…can we keep the republic that has been a beacon of liberty and a promise to the future and to the world?”

The challenges from groups like Antifa, the preferences for socialism over capitalism within the academic world, and the growing practice of governance by unelected “experts” over elected officials may seem new, but they are merely the latest incarnation of the horrors of the totalitarian movements that reached their height in the 20th Century. What is different is the unusual level of acceptance of these failed philosophies by many within the United States, and the blatant touting of them by universities, many popular personalities, the media, and a number of political figures.

it’s not just disaffected and arrogant masked domestic terrorists that are altering the current American political and cultural landscape.  Take New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, for example.  Despite his support for Nicaragua’s communist regime during the period when Moscow was sending its military to the region, his fondness for at least one terrorist group, and his open embrace of Marxist principles, he commands America’s largest city.  The Washington Free Beacon  has described how De Blasio “Rails against [the] concept of private property, [and] says it impedes NYC’s ‘Socialistic Impulse.’  De Blasio complains that “private property rights” stand in the way of his agenda.

Again, this is nothing new. The Bolsheviks stole the Russian Revolution from those who wished to replace the Czar with a more open government, and sought to eliminate private property rights. A few decades later, notes British politician and author Daniel Hannan, Hitler proclaimed that “Capitalism has run its course.” He believed, writes Hannan, as did other socialists (remember, “Nazi” is short for “National Socialists”) that individual rights were a perversion of the natural order “in which the group was more important than the individual.”

America’s very essence is under sustained assault from those who substantially disagree with all that it was founded upon.

Repealing America’s Revolution

The New York Analysis of Policy and Government provides a two-part look at how the basic foundational concepts of the United States are being challenged as never before.

A small portion of the U.S. population has rejected the foundational concepts of what America is all about.  Bedrock principles of individual rights, free enterprise, and even national sovereignty have been called into question as never before.

Unlike previous major controversies, this division does not center around a single issue or dispute. Rather, it calls into question the essential reasons for the founding of the country, and even the great principles of western civilization that guided and motivated the thirteen original colonies to form an entity unlike any ever seen before.

During the past century, the basics of Western Civilization were challenged across the globe.  However, within “the Anglosphere,” including primarily the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the guiding principles were kept alive, and improved upon.  The last vestiges of the world-wide tragedies of racism, sexism, dictatorship and religious persecution were attacked, and individual freedoms expanded, in contrast to the rest of the planet, where, in many cases, these evils expanded to previously unimaginable degrees.  Nazi concentration camps, Communist Gulags, and the medieval practices of Islamic extremism plagued the planet (and some continue to do so) but America remained largely immune.

That may be changing, as individual rights are replaced by collective rights, despite the history of this concept which resulted in 100 million people murdered by Communist states, 15 million or so extinguished by Hitler, and the growing daily ravages of radical Islam.

The attempts to eliminate the key, unifying ideas and traditions that bind America together become more serious each day.

Progressive” educators, from kindergarten through college, when they include American history at all in their curriculum, do so only in the most deprecating manner possible. Left-wing pundits work overtime to cast the nation’s founding fathers in the worst possible light. Bruce Thornton, writing for Frontpage  explains: “The politicizing of the universities has led to two ill effects. First… adding [anti-American] material to the curriculum necessitates the driving out of the traditional curriculum…Second, generations of credential students have sat in these courses and then gone on to teach in high schools and grade schools, and to write the textbooks and curricula that propagate this ideology. The result is a student population ignorant of the basic facts of history.” Even the unifying act of having young students recite the Pledge of Allegiance together is now under assault by those who wish to remove it from regular student activities.

As a result of biased or nonexistent education in U.S. history, there is little appreciation for the extraordinary leap in human rights brought about by the American Revolution, and the founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Therefore, when individuals who seek to dismantle America’s philosophical underpinnings point out the inevitable flaws in the nation’s founding figures, those flaws are all those undereducated students see.

Some entertainment and sports figures use their access to the public to attack unifying symbols and traditions.  Example:  Football quarterback Colin Kaepernick, rather than voice his concern over a particular set of issues, chooses instead to denigrate the nation as a whole by refusing to honor the traditional playing of the national anthem. As a result, his muddled message isn’t one of reform of whatever bothers him; it’s an undercutting of support for the nation as a whole.

The essential philosophical principles which underpin America are under constant siege. Freedom of religion has been a central tenet of American life. But now, holding any religious beliefs makes one vulnerable to attack.  Examples abound:

  • Houston’s former mayor sought to mandate that pastors had to submit their sermons to the city for approval.
  • The editorial board of the Wall Street Journal  noted with alarm Senator Diane Feinstein’s assault on a judicial nominee simply because the candidate for the bench held traditional religious beliefs: “David Rivkin, a constitutional litigator, says ‘the tenor of questions by Democrat Senators seemed designed more to challenge the ideas of Catholic orthodoxy—a subject more fitting for a theological debate than a Senate hearing…Sen. Dick Durbin jumped in to demand of Ms. Barrett: ‘Do you consider yourself an orthodox Catholic…This questioning is part of a broader effort on the left to disqualify people with strong religious views from the public square.’
  • It has also been reported  that a “A Washington state high school football coach… was punished for taking a knee at the 50-yard line for a post-game prayer violated the U.S. Constitution,” according to the radical 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • The co-chair of the Democrat National Committee has a long history of associating with anti-Semites.

Politicians, Media Fail to Condemn Antifa

As despicable as organizations such as neo-Nazis and the KKK are, they remain, fortunately, far too small to have a significant impact on American politics or culture, and have received substantive critical attention from both the media and elected officials.  On the other hand, because of their size and relative lack of criticism, Antifa and similar leftist extremist groups present a far greater danger.

While “Anitfa” is short for anti-Fascists, the group’s tactics and totalitarian/leftist outlook is the closest America currently has to a true Fascist movement.  It’s loosely organized collective of left wing and anarchists organizations have virtually renounced respect for contrary opinion and the results of free elections. CNN notes that “Antifa is impossible to track. It isn’t united through a national organization, and it cloaks itself in anonymity. In speaking to Antifa leaders across the country, CNN found very few who would take off their masks.

It’s tactics deeply resemble those of Germany’s 1930’s Nazi era, and its violent response to those with different philosophies renders the group a disturbing combination of the 20th Century’s two most murderous movements, those best represented by Stalin’s Soviet Union and Hitler’s Third Reich.

Examples of its extremist beliefs are extensive, both within the U.S. and abroad. And the failure of U.S. institutions to condemn those actions is deeply troubling.

Writing in the Chicago Tribune, Albert Eisenberg reports: “… visit America’s elite college campuses like Yale or Middlebury or Berkeley, where tomorrow’s leaders attempt to shut down conservative voices with protest or riots… Or head to Portland, Ore., one of the most liberal cities in the nation in the heart of the progressive Pacific Northwest, which this month Politico labeled “America’s Most Politically Violent City.” The progressive paradise —where Republicans are virtually an extinct species …A “counter-protest” to a planned pro-Trump rally landed 14 antifa in jail for attacking the police with explosives and bricks….Witness the blood-soaked congressional baseball field in Alexandria, Va., site of the June attack on U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and other Republicans batting up for their annual bipartisan game. James Hodgkinson, a “fervent supporter of progressive politics,” showed up to the field with a rifle…and a hit list of Republicans… when we have Democratic senators accusing political opponents of murder, when our college campuses descend into assault zones for conservative speakers (or those who defend them), when our major cities become playgrounds for far-left rioters and the news media gloss over it, we move toward a more violent and fractured society, not a safer one.

The Daily Caller  notes the lack of an appropriate media response to these outrages: “Antifa protestors clad in black masks shut down college campuses, destroy property and indiscriminately attack those they disagree with, whether women or the elderly. …Amid this backdrop, The Huffington Post publishes an article calling for the execution of Trump and “everyone assisting his agenda.”

The Atlantic’s Edmon de Haro and Peter Beinhart describe how far America has descended under the influence of extreme leftist groups: “Since 1907, Portland, oregon, has hosted an annual Rose Festival. Since 2007, the festival had included a parade down 82nd Avenue. Since 2013, the Republican Party of Multnomah County, which includes Portland, had taken part. This April, all of that changed…the parade’s organizers received an anonymous email warning that if “Trump supporters” and others who promote “hateful rhetoric” marched, “we will have two hundred or more people rush into the parade … and drag and push those people out.” When Portland police said they lacked the resources to provide adequate security, the organizers canceled the parade.”

Edmund Kozak, writing in Lifezette provides this description from independent journalist Lauren Southern, who was present at one of the pro-Trump Berkeley rallies:

“Anyone who tries to hold any sort of right-wing event literally gets beat up by militant communists in the street,’ she reports. a video taken immediately following the violence…Harrowing video footage taken by Southern’s crew showed Antifa street fighters throwing bricks and M-80 explosives into the crowd, as well as assaulting Trump supporters. Other footage released by someone present at the event showed one Antifa thug hit a Trump supporter over the head with a bicycle chain and lock.”

Far too few in the media and politics have openly and forcefully criticized this violent replay of the worst movements from the USSR and Nazi Germany, that resulted in such shattering totals of death and destruction over the past one hundred years.

Progressive Responsibility for Political Violence, Part 2

The New York Analysis of Policy & Government concludes its examines of what is responsible for the growing verbal and physical violence in U.S. politics.

While desperately portrayed as trendy or “cool” by the media, the reality is that the central message of the left, who have stepped up their level of violence since losing the latest round of elections in 2016, is not acceptable to the overwhelming majority of American voters. The idea that a self-anointed group of “experts” who have decided that the United States is an evil entity and that dramatic changes that undermine Constitutional procedures and guarantees of individual rights should be adopted is, despite strenuous efforts by the press, academia and Hollywood producers, simply not gaining traction.

The implementation of progressive policies following the election of Barack Obama in 2008, accompanied by Democrat control of the House and Senate, led to fairly rapid voter remorse.  In rapid succession, the electorate replaced leftists in the House of Representatives, the Senate, most governorships and state legislatures, and finally the presidency.

Having been decimated at the ballot box, progressives have returned to a tactic that is central to their quest for power: violence.

The acceptance of violence as a left-wing political strategy is as old as Lenin (the founder of the Soviet state) himself.  Shortly after returning to Russia, Lenin sought to overthrow the people who had replaced the autocratic regime of the Czars. Communists frequently take credit for the revolution, but in fact, they violently stole the revolution from freedom-loving forces. The Reds simply replaced the old, Czarist authoritarian regime with one that was even more tyrannical. Lenin was quite blunt in his advocacy of the use of violence to achieve his goals, and his contempt for fair elections. In 1917, he bluntly declared:

“The uprising’s object is to seize power. Its political task will be clarified after the seizure…the people have the right and duty to solve such questions not by voting but by force.”

Lenin’s leftist and progressive ideological heirs have taken that message to heart.  The Daily Wire  notes that “…destructive riots seem to have become the status quo for the left’s “demonstrations.”

The concept is widespread. Judicial Watch describes how  “A club at a taxpayer-funded university in Florida advocates violence against political conservatives and trains members in a ‘leftist fight…The group is called Knights for Socialism and…there are hundreds like it in college campuses across the country…The club’s mission is to ‘establish a new society based on socialism in which democracy is extended from politics to the economy and where production of goods and services is based on human need instead of private profit,’ in records obtained by Judicial Watch… The group describes itself as a ‘coalition of Marxist-Leninists, Anarchists and Democratic Socialists…’”

Daniel Payne, writing for The Federalist,   states: “…there is reason to be genuinely, authentically concerned with the direction in which the Left is headed. To cope with the political defeats they suffered in 2016, liberals appear to be embracing and championing political violence…That’s not even the worst of it. At this year’s Screen Actors Guild awards, ‘Stranger Things’ actor David Harbour openly advocated committing criminal violence against political opponents…for his explicit call to political violence at the SAG awards, Harbour received a standing ovation from the crowd. You’re not reading that wrong: a famous actor called for violence against his fellow Americans, and a bunch of other famous actors were totally for it. So were much of the media:MTV called it ‘inspiring,’ Metro called it a ‘rousing call to arms,’ People magazine called it ‘passionate,’ Rolling Stone called it ‘fiery.’”

Payne worries that “… we see liberals accepting, embracing, rationalizing, and celebrating violence against their opponents. Even famous television stars are taking part in this alarming trend, and instead of being rebuked and shunned, they are cheered and praised by their fellow elites. This bears repeating: liberals appear to be embracing violence as a political tool. “

There is one problem with Daniel Payne’s analysis: his use of the word “liberal.” The leftists and progressives of 2017 have nothing in common with either the liberals of the latter half of the 20th century, who favored big government spending, nor the original liberals, who were staunch advocates of individual rights and would today be called conservatives.

Progressive Responsibility for Political Violence

The New York Analysis of Policy & Government examines the question of what is responsible for the growing verbal and physical violence in U.S. politics.

In the wake of Wednesday’s attack on Republican Congressmen, elected officials of both parties have, appropriately, called for a toning down of the harsh rhetoric.  It is, of course, true that extremists exist on both side of the political aisle.

There is a difference, however, in both the intensity and source of the violent rhetoric coming from the left.

The U.S. media generally describes violent language, or the advocacy of violence, by left-wing and progressive organizations as either being spontaneous, or inspired by a specific incident or cause, or coming from the fringes of the movement.  That is utterly false.

It is time to have a bluntly honest discussion about the violent and aggressive tone of those in the mainstream of the Democrat Party, their staunch allies in the media, and their supporters in the entertainment industry. Include also those in academia who either tolerate or perpetuate violence on campuses whenever a non-leftist speaker is invited. Add to that the tolerance of violent terrorists such as Bill Ayers within Democrat inner circles. Indeed, the very leadership of the Democrat Party, especially Deputy Chair Keith Ellison, who has strong links to extremists, demonstrates that tolerance, even support, for violence. Tom Perez, the Party chair, has stated: “ Republicans “don’t give a s… about people… Donald Trump, you don’t stand for our values.’ Donald Trump, you didn’t win this election

The very way many on the left describe themselves—“the Resistance”—gives rise to a self-perception of an aggressive movement that employs violence.

Quotes from James T. Hodgkinson, a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter and the perpetrator of the attempted assassination of Republican Majority Whip Steve Scalise and his Republican Congressional colleagues sound very much like mainstream Democrat comments. (“Trump is a traitor. Trump has destroyed our democracy. It’s time to destroy Trump & Co.”) His influencers are mainstream, as well; they apparently include MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow. His perspectives are highly partisan. He has written that “We need to vote all Republicans out of Congress.”

This is one disease that men cannot ignore or avoid its treatment as sexual needs and satisfaction is as important viagra generic sildenafil as any other need such as emotional, psychological or mental.
How much longer can the images and rhetoric of violence from the left be ignored? Whether it’s Cathy Griffin holding up a replica bloody, severed head of the President, a New York play that portrays (and seemingly advocates) Trump’s assassination, the Clinton campaign’s overheated rhetoric about her Republican rival, the screaming descriptions of Trump as being someone who will destroy the environment, the very clear message is that the nation—and the world—would be better off if the President were dead.

Before Trump even took the oath of office, calls for his impeachment, accompanied by lurid and nonsensical charges that the President-elect was against women, minorities and the poor raised tempers throughout Washington. That tone continues as investigations are commenced on the flimsiest pretexts and conducted by left-wing partisans.

Kristen Tate, writing for The Hill noted:

“Turn on TV or browse your newsfeeds on social media, and you will be bombarded with polemics about the sky falling and credible threats of violence against conservative figures. The FBI investigated a threat to kill Milo Yiannoupolis for the audacity to want to speak on a college campus. Threats against former Labor Secretary nominee Andy Puzder’s wife caused him to withdraw himself from consideration. Multiple intimidatory remarks haunted members of the Trump-voting Electoral College. President Trump has been the target of declarations of violence on a near daily basis. And yet, when it comes to this constant flow of threats, there seems to be little outrage from the nation’s leading journalists and pundits. Social media shines almost every day with a new dimwitted threat against Trump and his presidency. ‘Comedienne’ Sarah Silverman called for a military coup. Madonna told protesters she ‘thought’ about blowing up the White House.”

There is also violence of the quasi-legal sort, as well.  Rulings by Ninth Circuit judges that ignore both the Constitution and federal law in order to hamper the White House, nonsense lawsuits by several state Democrat attorneys general that amount to nothing more than legal harassment are clear examples.
